About

MottiBitti is young one man company/sole proprietorship located in Oulu Finland.

Originally I was an electrical mechanic, and previously I have worked in various jobs like, IT support guy, factory’s assembly line, and programmed embedded systems. In every point of my life I have been very interested about computers and games, finding out how they work and what makes them fun. Naturally I started learning the game development, started following the industry even more, and of course playing more games. I was little shocked to find out a little while ago, that many professionals don’t actually “live and breath” the industry, or play games anymore.

When listening the stories about other entrepreneurs there is one thing that keeps coming up, at some point they got angry, or they wanted to prove something, so they started their own company. That happened to me too. I was suppose to became a game designer or a coder, but after few failed job applications I started to think differently. “Why I’m writing these job applications to the companies whose games I don’t even like? I could surely do everything better myself!” Of course, thinking like that is little naive, but at the same time it could be true! So I started to find out about the bureocracy for establishing a company. Abstract business things are not in my strong area, but with some help I got things working and here I am.

I had 3 realistic game ideas for a one man company, but eventually chose none of them. Instead I choose the one prototype project I used myself daily, the VR-Reader. It’s a VR software for reading manga & comics on PC, and it’s in early access in Steam. I hope for the full release in this summer so I could start developing games.

That’s a short history of MottiBitti.
